2006 Conference

2006 ISA International Stillbirth Conference in collaboration with Japan SIDS Family Association
YOKOHAMA JAPAN , JUNE 1 - 4, 2006
The SIDS Family Association Japan and the International Stillbirth Alliance (ISA) are dedicated to the prevention of stillbirth worldwide. There are approximately 4.5 million stillbirth deaths worldwide each year and, until recently, there has been no international forum for research, data collection and/or prevention strategies dedicated to solving these tragic infant deaths. While there have been advances in health care and improved health outcomes in many areas, the rates of stillbirth have not decreased and in fact in some regions the rates may be increasing.
The 2006 International Stillbirth Conference united researchers, healthcare professionals and affected family members with government, business and community service groups in a cohesive movement to address this alarming situation. The 2006 International Stillbirth Conference was held in collaboration with The 9th SIDS International Conference.

2005 Conference

Our conference,"TOGETHER Making a World of Difference", was held in Washington in September. Our aim was to bring together families, health professionals and researchers from around the world in one forum to share knowledge and experiences.
With two Research, one Health Professional and one Bereavement track running through the four days, a huge amount of information was shared.
It is our goal to make as many of the abstracts and presentations as possible available for those that were not able to attend, or those that attended but were not able to attend all of the sessions they were interested in.
